The Congolese Revolutionary Army (ARC) marked a new phase in the strengthening of its military capacity on Sunday February 8, 2026, during an official ceremony held in Tshanzu to recognize the completion of training for a new cohort of commandos.

A total of 7,532 newly trained commandos have been integrated into the ARC's operational units, following what was described as an intensive and methodically structured training program. The graduation ceremony was presided over by AFC/M23 senior leadership.

The reinforcement represents a significant expansion of AFC/M23 military capacity at a moment when diplomatic negotiations remain ongoing and ground operations continue across multiple fronts in eastern DRC.
